CTH Q Reconstruction and Realignment

This WisDOT STP-Rural design project involved reconstruction of 2.1 miles of roadway that had experienced growing traffic volumes.

The project included notable environmental challenges including significant wetland mitigation as well as petroleum contamination. Another key element of the design process involved utility coordination. Careful analysis of utility relocation plans produced significant savings to Shawano County.

A right-of-way plat was developed to reflect the widened and realigned route. The realigned roadway included nearly 17 acres of new right of way.
