Menomonee Valley I-43 High Steel Bridge Inspection
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation retained GRAEF to perform an in-depth structural inspection of Milwaukee’s Menomonee Valley Bridge, which is comprised of 16 continuous steel girder units with an average length of 500 feet. Our engineers worked over railroads, canals, city streets, and other generally accessible areas using manlifts with a reach of up to 120 feet on land, while a barge was used to inspect three areas of the bridge that spanned over canals.
