West Puetz Road

GRAEF was retained by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and the City of Franklin to provide overall design and construction services for the construction of 2.1 miles of new rural roadway, including a bridge over the Root River.

GRAEF conducted alignment studies, analyzing development impacts and various other environmental factors including wetland losses. The bridge was designed to allow for a paved bike trail to pass below the bridge. Traffic volume projections and signal warrant analyses were also performed. GRAEF developed the right-of-way plat and legal descriptions and coordinated right-of-way acquisition appraisals and negotiations.
