The thing I like most about my job as a professional land surveyor working in the civil engineering arena is that we get to work on projects from start to finish. Producing topographic and boundary surveys for design professionals to use in the development stage, to construction staking those designs turning them into finished projects. Being able to see a grass field turn into a multimillion (in some case billion) dollar development is very satisfying in the fact that we are the tip of the spear at the beginning, and in the end responsible for all construction layout of these incredible projects. Quality deliverables and the trust we build with our clients in making these projects a success is of most importance to me.
Fun Fact: Although no relation, I share the same name as the professional baseball pitcher George Bernard “Dave” Koslo, who played for the New York Giants, Baltimore Orioles and the Milwaukee Braves.
