Waldorf Astoria Orlando and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek

GRAEF provided smoke control commissioning as required by the Florida Building Code. In October 2009, the Waldorf Astoria Orlando and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek had its grand opening as the newest Central Florida vacation destination with two luxury hotels, a conference center, and a golf club. The 1,497-room resort sits on just under 500 acres of land near the Walt Disney World parks.

GRAEF performed limited smoke control commissioning services and inspections as required in the Florida Building Code section 909. Tasks performed included construction document and submittal review, system response verification and acceptance, coordination of commissioning activities, observe equipment start-ups, witness operational performance tests, prepare and submit commissioning report, verify and document sequence of operations and smoke control system functional testing.
